The Red Balloon + Koyaanisqatsi

For this evening, we’ve picked “The Red Balloon”, a short film from 1956. This is one of the best little stories we’ve ever done in Modern Robot. With a boy, a balloon, and essentially no dialog, this film will take you on a trip of joy, fun, romance, loyalty, fear, tragedy, cruelty, and rebirth. It’s kind of a lot for a balloon.

This show will be also be our last with Kyle Poehling, drummer extraordinaire and founding member of Modern Robot. Kyle is leaving us for the tropical climes of Louisiana soon, so ya better come check this show out.
