Fantasia

I don’t think I need to say much about this film. It’s spectacular, and as daunting and presumptuous as it may be to play our own music to it, I couldn’t give up the opportunity to have this much fun.

A few interesting tidbits:

Fantasia is only the third Disney animated feature. It was made in 1940 and the first commercial movie to be shown in stereo sound. The recording techniques were ahead of their time, and maybe the whole film was.

It was not very popular, and went through many revisions and re-releases over the years, and only recouped the cost of making it 30 years after its first release.
