Modern Robot is delighted to announce our new show, “Dangerous When Wet”, a tribute to Hollywood swimming legend Esther Williams.

As an MGM star, Esther Williams defined her own genre, the “Aqua Musical”. These extravaganzas of singing, swimming, dancing, and diving were some of the biggest movies of the 1940’s and 50’s. They involved huge sets, huge casts, huge choreography, and really, some pretty fabulous cinematography.

As usual, we’ll be skipping all those silly plots and going straight to the visuals as we play our own dancy, spacy soundtrack.

We will be including a few other water-based surprises in our film to keep you entertained.

The show will be this Sunday, Sep. 23, 7pm at the Green Bean. Admission is $3-5 unless you know the door guy well enough he’ll wave you in.
