The movie for this Wednesday is “The Mascot”. It’s a fantastic stop-motion film, and the best way to describe it that it’s 1933’s “Toy Story”.
It’s the story of a devoted stuffed dog who, through various misadventures, is trying to bring an orange to the little girl he loves.
The director, Vladislav Starevich, is a huge pioneer in stop-motion and animation, and Terry Gilliam chose this film as one of the 10 best animated films of all time.
